Chickadee Poecile atricapillus

My first bird submission using a flash for fill light. The bg is still too dark, but I think I know how to fix that in the future. (I hope)

I think the background is a good color here, it isn't so dark it blends in with the head, and it provides contrast with the breast of the bird.

Thanks. This is just about the best I've had, so far. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have to figure out a way to force my camera to do fill flash when its not so bright outside.

Nice shot! Does using the flash help for overcast days??

Yes, but its hard to get it to look natural because my camera only assumes I want fill flash if its really bright outside.
